Tale of Mrs Tittle Mouse by Beatrix Potter from £4.99
In her youth Beatrix made beautiful microscopic studies of insects, working at the newly-built Natural History Museum in London. Many years later she was able to use these in her illustrations for this book.
Mrs Tittlemouse, the wood-mouse who helped to rescue the Flopsy Bunnies in an earlier book, was given her own story in 1910, and Beatrix created delightful pictures of all the uninvited insect guests, from spiders to bees, found in Mrs Tittlemouse's underground home.
