The possibilities are endless with the huge selection of track and accessories from Scalextric. You can create the simplest oval, or even a huge track replica of your favourite circuit.
In 2009 TV’s James May did just that. As part of his ‘Toy Stories’ series he created a huge 2.75-mile track, re-creating the original Brooklands circuit in Surrey. May, along with his 300 volunteers used around 20,000 pieces of track and dodged some huge obstacles as the track took its original route. After successful completion it was declared as a new world record, thrashing the previous record of 1.59 miles
