Potties |
At some point every child will need a potty and most parents start to think about this when the child starts to tell them when they need to go, or after they have done it. When purchasing your potty make sure you think about what you want first. There are lots of different types going from the basic potty to the more elaborate seats and some even come with sound effects etc. What’s your child like? Do they need a lot of encouragement? If so a potty with sound effects may make them want to use it, as it’s quite exciting and rewarding. If your just getting a basic one then make sure if you have a little boy you get one with a high splash guard, this helps stop those unexpected leaks that go over the top.
When your child gets a little bigger they may start to want to use to proper toilet, when this happens it’s highly recommended that you invest in a toilet seat so they don’t slip through the larger seat as this could put them off using the toilet. They are easy to use by simply putting them on top of the seat or underneath, then securing it with the larger toilet seat - it depends what style you choose
