| Hot Wheels are a Die Cast toy car brand. Made by Mattel, Hot Wheels were originally made to a scale of 1:64, then a range of 1:18 scale were introduced a few years later. Over the years Hot Wheels has mostly been collected by children, but more recently the number of adult collectors has increased, with an average collector having over 1,550 cars. Hot Wheels came into the toy car market with a number of revolutionary features with the most obvious been that they had free-rolling wheels which meant that the tiny cars rolled a lot further than their contemporaries. |
