Doctor Who is a long-running British science fiction programme produced by the BBC. Its main character, the Doctor, is the last surviving Time-Lord, from Gallifrey. He is known to be an eccentric alien traveller, who has great intelligence and battles against injustice, while exploring time and space in an unreliable old time machine called the TARDIS (Time and Reletive Dimension In Space).
The Doctor has many enermies, like the Cybermen and the Slitheen, but none are as dangerous as the Daleks. The Daleks are the reason the Doctor is the last living Time-Lord, after the Last great Time war killed off all time-lords and Daleks excluding the Doctor and a lone Dalek. The programme originally ran from 1963 to 1989, and was relaunched in 2005 and continues to this day.
