The first toy to be produce with the Brio name actually on it was two red trucks with tippers on, this wasn’t until 1930. It wasn't untill 1952 when Brio produced their first small engines and carriages linked together with hoops. 1957 took a big climb up the popularity ladder for Brio when they produced their first miniature railway set, being named miniature as Brio had previously produced larger train sets. Brio also showed off their fantastic imagination linking the engine and carriages with small magnets. Brio produce a nice variety of trains some are just push along which is nice especially for the younger ones, then the do the trains that do their whistle sound then there is the battery powered one which responds to the signal that the smart track would pass out.
