Sd Kfz 9 'FAMO' mit Erdsporn by Revell from £6.99
The Sd. Kfz.9 - 18 tonne heavy towing vehicle is one of the best known and most powerful German World War II tractors. About 2,500 of the final version were made between 1939 and1944 and used for recovering tanks and also for transporting heavy artillery and bulky goods. In particular the field maintenance troops could not have done without the "FAMO" for recovering heavy German tanks and in particular the Tiger 1. In order to prevent skidding during recovery, some vehicles were equipped with a rear earth spade that could be rammed into the ground.
