Revell Vehicles - Corvette C-R6 Le Mans Winner 06 - The successor to the legendary Corvette C5-R took its place on the starting grid for the first time in 2005. Its lengthy development and numerous tests gave grounds to expect some exciting and successful races. Already at Sebring the C6-R, powered by a 7.0 litre 590 bhp small block V8 engine, showed what it was made of. Both there and on the 4,000 km track at Le Mans the C6-R took the title in the GTI class. In 2006 the works Corvette teams had to face a tenacious competitor, who led for a long time in the Le Mans 24 Hours, one of the most difficult races in the world.
