Revell Aircrafts - British SE 5a - One of the fastest single-seat biplanes of its time! Never quite as famous as the Sopwith Camel, the S.E. 5 was nevertheless one of the most important fighter aircraft of WWI. The prototype Scout Experimental 5 took off in November 1916. The improved S.E. 5a was a notably stable aircraft which made it an ideal fighter. With a 200 hp engine giving a top speed of 209 km/h, this was one of the fastest of all fighters when it entered front line service in mid 1917.
