This 64-page activity book introduces the 4-function calculator with meaningful problem-solving activities. Group projects challenge children with number sense, measurements, patterns and games. Age Group 6 - 9. The Primary Calculator Activity Book contains more than 30 problem-solving tasks for children in grades K through 3. These tasks challenge children to explore and solve problems in four key mathematical areas:

This resource book supplements your mathematics program and can be used in regular, special education, and remedial classrooms. The activities engage students in completing tasks which utilize a calculator as a natural tool and invite children to communicate their results in writing or by orally sharing their ideas. Children are often asked to reflect on their original predictions or estimations and to compare these with actual outcomes.
