Beatrix Potters father enjoyed fishing, Jeremy Fisher’s home is based on his boat and the riverside where he used to fish. This story sees Jeremy Fisher going about his daily life trying to catch food to eat. He is almost eaten by a trout that eventually spits him out as he doesn’t like the taste of his mackintosh. Unfortunately Jeremy fails to catch anything to eat.
