This highly advanced material feels like chewing gum, but suddenly goes hard if bounced or hit with something. It is used in smart clothing. Patches of putty (in a special foam) around your elbows and knees allow normal movement but become a protective shell if you have a sudden knock. If left alone, a ball of this putty acts like thick treacle and slumps into a pancake shape. A piece stuck on a smooth surface like a door will flow like a big drip - but very slowly. You can even use it as a timer! It also changes colour from pink to white when warmed in the hand.
