If you have already made aircraft and car models and you are now looking for something different, why not try constructing this model of the warship HMS Belfast?
She was de-commissioned in 1962 after a long and eventful service and she is now permanently moored on the River Thames. HMS Belfast was launched in 1938 and saw service in World War 2 and also in the Korean War. She was so badly damaged by a German mine in 1939 that it took nearly 3 years to repair her. She returned to service and took part in the battle of North Cape in December 1943 and Operation Neptune in June 1944 where she took part in the D Day landings.
Of all the big gun armoured warships built in the first half of the century for the Royal Navy, HMS Belfast is the only one remaining.
Now that you know something of her history you can build your own HMS Belfast.
Contained in the box is everything you require including poly cement, paints and brushes and as an added bonus some rare photographs that you can display with your finished model.
After you have completed your model why not go to London and visit the real thing, it is spectacular.
