First Swingball. Who can Play? First Swingball has been designed to introduce the youngest players to the classic rotary tennis game. Lightweight plastic Checker Bats and a soft, safe foam ball allows children from 3 years of age to develop their hand-eye co-ordination skills whilst enjoying a fun Swingball match. Where can you Play? The all Surface Checkerbase allows play on virtually any surface. Simply fill the base with water or sand for stability and you-re ready to play. How do you play? Play starts with the tether positioned in the middle of the swingball spiral. With two players, each player takes turns to hit the ball, one player hitting the ball clockwise, the other anti clockwise. The ball flies around the pole and the tether moves up and down the spiral. The aim of the game is to reach the top, or bottom of the spiral first.
