F-4F Phantom 50th Anniversary by Revell from £34.99

For decades, the F-4 Phantom has been the workhorse of the Western air forces. The prototype flew for the first time in 1958. This two-seat fighter interceptor is one of the most powerful and versatile aircraft of the postwar period and was in use in over 11 countries. In total over 5000 of this aircraft type were built. Shortly after it went into service it made 15 spectacular best performances, such as the world record for a maximum altitude of 30,000 m and a top speed of 3085 km/h. The 50th Anniversary of the F-4 Phantom was used by 71 Fighter Squadron Richthofen as an occasion to give it an exciting special livery. This will be presented to the general public at a major event at the end of July 2008. This Anniversary Phantom was painted with original Revell colours, further evidence of the durability and high quality of our colour range. (Available from October 2008)
