Your Calc-u-vue® calculator and this book will help explain and teach the uses of the calculator. Pages titled Teaching Notes contain instruction, examples, and activities for you to use with your students. The other pages may be reproduced as worksheets for student use. Before you begin formal instruction with calculators, allow some time for students to explore. This will allow your students to become somewhat familiar with the general layout of their calculators. It will also eliminate distractions you may encounter by students playing with calculators while you are instructing.

In the first 38 pages of this book, you and your students will work through the various keys and features of your calculators. Students should follow each process and work along as you demonstrate on the overhead projector. Starting with page 39, specific objectives are addressed.
