BMW Isetta 250 and Camping Trailer by Revell from £39.99
In the early 1950s BMW saw possibilities in offering minicars appropriate to the market situation of the postwar period. They therefore signed a licensing agreement with the Italian firm Iso SpA and BMW made their car from 1953 onwards. In 1955 it was followed by a modified version, the Isetta 250, that was known as the highly individual side-by-side bubble car. The key feature of the car was that when the front door opened the steering column moved with it on a cardan joint. Capacity: 12 hp, 250 cc, 85 km/h top speed. For touring there was also a matching camper that was large enough to lie down in. Movable doors, removable bonnet, movable steering assembly (Available from September 2008)
