Crayola was founded in the USA in 1903 by cousins Edwin Binney and Harold Smith
when they first started selling a box of eight crayons in black, brown, blue,
red, purple, orange, yellow, and green. They now make more than one hundred
different types of crayons. Plasticine was first made by art teacher William
Harbutt from Bath, England in 1897 and commercial product began in 1900, with
four colours being available. A product loved by children, artists and is often
used in clay animation. Play-Doh was first made in the USA in the 1930s and used
as a wallpaper cleaner, after some children started to play with it, it was
changed slightly and in the 1950s sold as the Play-Doh we know today.

also magazine makers aimed more for girls and story makers for younger children.
Craft Kits Shelf – the kits on this shelf contain everything you need for the
activity in the box such as building cars from scratch, learning magic tricks,
giving yourself tattoos, creating jewellery and even making your own perfume.
Crayola Shelf – a shelf with so many products. From the classic crayon to
pencils, marker pens, even paints and craft kits. Everything you could want to
make a beautiful picture for someone special.
Feltastic Shelf – felt play is a classic children’s creative past time. You
can collect all the different Character Feltastics, Disney Princess, Toy Story,
Thomas & Friends, Disney Fairies and In the Night Garden. General Arts & Crafts

Gr8 Art Gear Shelf – the Gr8 kits on this shelf will keep children occupied
for ages. Select from lots of different products ranging from Bindeez, Sea
Monkeys, Magic Fabric and much more.
Lets Cook, Girl Gourmet & Fabtastic Food Shelf – with all these products you
can have fun with food. Try the cake maker or the fruit factory, the funky
sandwich maker or the cool cookie creations.
Moon Sand & Moon Dough Shelf - Moon Sand is sand that you can mould into any
shape and it will stay moulded and Moon Dough is a magical moulding dough. On
this shelf you can buy the sand just by itself or you can get a special kit with
different themes, like Construction Diggers and Ice Cream Sundaes.
Plasticine Shelf – on this shelf you can choose regular Plasticine in many
different colours or special modelling kits, where you can make flowers, or
Thomas and Friends or a character from Wallace and Gromit.
Play-Doh Shelf – on this shelf there are again special kits for having lots
of fun for playing with Play-Doh, like a Burger Builder or an Ice Cream Playset.
Or if you prefer you just get lots of tubs of Play-Doh in your favourite
colours.
Shaker Maker Shelf – the Shaker Maker is a lot of fun. It is s easy to make
two detailed plaster models which can then be painted. The kits on the shelf
have everything in the box and there are some favourite characters to choose
from like Dr Who, Star Wars and Disney Princess.
Wammy Shelf – Wammy is a ‘re-usable, flexible, connectible shape that lets
you make something great!’ There is a choice of sets with instructions to choose
from.
