Leeds Pottery Egg Cup

Description:Semi ovoid, on a high moulded foot; the upper part of the cup is pierced with a band of openwork. Openwork is the process where patterns are formed of oval diamond, heart shaped or other shaped holes, each of which is individually cut out with a simple metal tool and usually known as pierced ware.

• Height 2 1/2" (6.5cm)

Based on the original dated late 18th Century in earthenware and glazed pale cream.
