Description:The Sugar Bowl & Ladle is circular on a high spreading foot the lower part of the body is fluted with a turned ribbed border at the rim, the domed lid has panels of pierced openwork with a ribbed border at the rim it has a flower knob with leaf and bud terminals. The standard ladle has a pierced bowl for sifting and sprinkling sugar it has a curved handle. (If you want a plain un-perforated ladle please mention on your order.)Pierced work is the process where patterns are formed with shaped holes, each of which is individually cut out with a simple metal tool when the pot is in the unfired clay stage.
