Small Pot Pourri Diameter 3 1/2" (9cm)
The Small Pot Pourri is based on the original Hartley Greens pattern book, earthenware, and glazed pale cream, this is commonly described as Creamware, Pearlware, Leedsware, China Glaze or even Salt Glaze. The Small Pot Pourri is spherical with a slightly flattened base, the lower half and the dome lid is pierced with an openwork pattern, the lid has a flower knob.
Openwork is the process where patterns are formed of oval diamond, heart shaped or other shaped holes, each of which is individually cut out with a simple metal tool.
