Leeds Pottery Small Centrepiece

Description:The Small Centrepiece is single tiered formed from four scallop shells joined at the column which has a loop handle, the base is domed with four panels of pierced openwork. Openwork is the process where patterns are formed of oval diamond, heart shaped or other shaped holes, each of which is individually cut out with a simple metal tool.

• Small Centrepiece Height 7 1/2" (19cm)

The Small Centrepiece is based on the original dated late 18th Century, earthenware, and glazed pale cream, this is commonly described as Creamware, Pearlware, Leedsware, China Glaze or even Salt Glaze.
