Since the 60’s the International fashion designer Jeff Banks has been at the forefront of British fashion. His original shop, Clobber, opened in the 1960s and by 1969 Jeff was already creating his own collection. His expertise was already showing then by becoming one of the first designers to show in Paris that year. Jeff frequently showed in London, Paris, New York, Munich and Tokyo. In the late 70’s he created the brand Warehouse and in the early 1980’s he was the British Designer of the Year twice running and he became Retailer of the Year in 1984.
Jeff’s men’s and women’s collections are sold in some of Britain’s leading department stores and he also designed the clothes for the 130 sports representatives that travelled to Singapore and won the bid for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics Games.
Jeff Banks design expertise works across four main areas - fashion, interiors, corporate and optical wear -with many brands on the high street.
Over the last ten years Jeff has worked with Churchill China designing and producing a wide range of tableware and mugs under the Jeff Banks Ports of Call china brand and the Jeff Banks At Home brand. Now selling in more than 30 countries, Jeff draws his inspiration for the designs under his Ports of Call Crockery brand using his global travelling experiences. With its white background and its multi lineated circular colourful design it has more than a hint of the Mediterranean. In Ports of Call Jeff is using his earlier travel memories to add a colourful and continental feel to this mealtime presentation. Particularly applicable to barbecues and drinks soirées this inexpensive crockery suits most light entertaining occasions. The Ports of Call Chip & Dip, the Oil Drizzler, the Olive Dish, and Set of 3 Dipper Bowls will take the fun element to your guests. |
