Napkin Rings (set of 4)

The Napkin Rings are cylindrical with a flattened base for resting they have a beaded edge either end; the bodies have patterns of pierced openwork around them. Openwork is the process where patterns are formed of oval diamond, heart shaped or other shaped holes, each of which is individually cut out with a simple metal tool.

The Napkin Rings are based on the original Hartley Greens pattern book, earthenware, and glazed pale cream, this is commonly described as Creamware, Pearlware, Leedsware, China Glaze or even Salt Glaze.
