Hand Decorated Plate Herbs- Coriander

The Medium Decorated Herbs with a pattern of openwork to outer rim with a moulded bead border, the wall of the central recess is fluted. The plate is printed and glazed with a Coriander plant design to its central recess. NB The hand painted version is signed by the artist. Coriander is good for the digestive system but the plate is just as good for the eye.

Openwork is the process where patterns are formed of oval diamond, heart shaped or other shaped holes, each of which is individually cut out with a simple metal tool and usually known as pierced ware.
