Hexagonal Trinket Box Diameter 4 1/2" (12cm)
The Hexagonal Trinket Box is based on the original Hartley Greens pattern book, earthenware, and glazed pale cream, this is commonly described as Creamware, Pearlware, Leedsware, China Glaze or even Salt Glaze. The Hexagonal Trinket Box six-sided with a raised lid is pierced around the lid and back and front of the base with a pattern of openwork.
Openwork is the process where patterns are formed of oval diamond, heart shaped or other shaped holes, each of which is individually cut out with a simple metal tool.
