Description:A versatile set of Black Toast Rectangular oven bakers which are a must buy for all of you, the army of Emma Bridgewater fans. These three sized baking dishes are perhaps the only ones you will need as the dimensions of each one suit many different purposes.
This collection is another nest to behold and this time these ones can be used in the oven too. Generally Bridgewater pottery is not safe for oven use unless it says so and is described as a cookware item – you wouldn’t want any mishaps! These are oven friendly, both conventional and for the microwave. They are of course not suitable for hob tops though. Being oven proof this means you can carry them straight from oven to table top to sit alongside all of your other Black Toast items. Washing up is a breeze too, even with the odd crusty residue from baking.
The design is classically Black Toast with the various black inscriptions which go as follows (along with their sizes):
- Small Black Toast Baker – ‘BAKED EGGS & ONION TART’ within and ‘COTTAGE PIE & TOAD-IN THE HOLE’ on the outer face – 21cm long by 3cm tall;
- Medium Black Toast Baker - 'BREAD & BUTTER PUDDING BANANAS' on the inside and ‘MERINGUE APPLE CRUMBLE LEMON’ on the outside – 26cm long and 4.5cm tall;
- Large Black Toast Baker – has ‘FISH PIE & MINCE MACARONI CHEESE’ on the inner face and 'KEDGEREE ROAST PARSNIPS LASAGNE' on the outside face – 31cm in length and 5cm tall.
So there you go some great meal ideas too! Those that be at Emma Bridgewater also suggest roasting a chicken in the medium sized dish, roasting some vegetables in the large one and a little dessert such as baked apples in the smallest. Again all three neatly fit inside each other so if space is at a premium this set hides away very conveniently – although if we were you we would be tempted to leave them out to be admired by all. p>
