Black Toast Espresso Cup & Saucer

This set of a Black Toast Espresso Cup & Saucer is ideal for those who love small concentrated shots of coffee and they also make lovely after dinner coffee cups for your dinner guests. What's more they are perfect if you have one of those espresso machines which are all the rage at the moment. Some of these machines have an integrated cup holder so these will look stunning on display on such a basis. Plus the cream colouring of the pottery helps to show off your espresso crema (fine white foam on top of a well made cup of espresso).

The Black Toast Espresso cup holds just 0.1ltr of coffee and stand around 6cm high. 100ml’s is plenty big enough for a triple shot of espresso or a single shot topped up with hot water, or a small serving of regular coffee. The term espresso does not come from the coffee bean or roast it is simply the method used to brew the coffee.

The set has some wonderful black text and the saucer says ‘MOCHA’ & ‘ARABICA’ and ‘BLUE MOUNTAIN’ which is approx 14cm in diameter and the cup simply says ‘A LITTLE ESPRESSO’ on it. Blue Mountain is a famous and popular coffee bean from Jamaica where it is grown in the Blue Mountains there. Arabica is a type of coffee tree and is sometimes also known as coffee shrub of Arabia. Mocha is a milky coffee with chocolate so although not usually served in such a cup it coordinates nicely with other Emma Bridgewater pieces in the Black Toast collection.
