3 1/4 inch Basket

The 3 1/4 inch Basket is circular moulded with pierced openwork to form a basketwork effect. Openwork is the process where patterns are formed of oval diamond, heart shaped or other shaped holes, each of which is individually cut out with a simple metal tool.

The Basket is based on the original Hartley Greens pattern book, earthenware, and glazed pale cream, this is commonly described as Creamware, Pearlware, Leedsware.
