Our selection of teas served at the Palace Theatre Cafe:

Out tea freshly served as a Teapot for one or multiples, with milk or lemon.

Yorkshire Tea - The House Blend

A blend of teas from Africa, India and Ceylon, with a rich, refreshing flavour.

Speciality Tagged Teabags include:

Earl Grey

This is the most famous flavoured tea. The secret recipe was said to have been given to one of Earl Grey's diplomats in 1830 by a Chinese Mandarin as a reward for saving his life. It is a blend of fine black teas and natural oil bergamot. Served with or without milk or lemon, any time of the day.

Green Tea

Created from an ancient Chinese recipe, this is a green tea scented with jasmine blossoms. It has a light, delicate liquor. Best served on its own Chamomile. The flowers are dried quickly after picking to preserve their mild, fresh flavour. A soothing drink, often taken to wind down or relax. Served without milk.

English Breakfast Tea

A blend of fine quality black teas from the highlands of East Africa and Ceylon. English Breakfast is the most popular of the 'Speciality Teas'. A brisk, refreshing flavour.

Darjeeling

A fine black tea, with a light, golden liquor and a subtle, 'muscatel' flavour. Served with or without milk or lemon.

Peppermint Tisane

Pure peppermint leaves from Spain and Egypt are dried quickly after being picked to preserve their aromatic flavour. A clean, refreshing tasting tisane. Peppermint has long been believed to aid digestion and settle the stomach. Served on its own.

Decaffeinated

A blend of black teas from East Africa that have been naturally decaffeinated. Served with or without milk.

We have a wide selection of coffees available for your enjoyment:

Espresso

Using Taylor's finest espresso bean which is described as ‘a full bodied and powerful blend of Arabica and Robusta berries’ finely ground from our espresso machine served in a Hartley Green's espresso cup using one shot of coffee usually served black or topped with a rich cream.

Café - House Blend Coffee

One shot of espresso served with hot/ cold milk or cream served in a Hartley Greens coffee cup.

Cappuccino

Using espresso blend served in a Hartley Greens cappuccino cup using one shot of coffee served with frothy milk and a dusting of chocolate.

Latte

Served in a Hartley Greens latte mug using one shot of espresso coffee served with lashings of hot milk and a topped with frothy milk. Mild and Milky.

Caffe Americano

Served in a Hartley Greens coffee cup using one shot of coffee topped up with hot water.

Speciality Coffees served in cafetieres:

Decaffeinated

A quality blend of coffees from around the world. Decaffeinated by a natural water process. A pure, smooth, mellow flavour. Medium/Dark Roast.

Colombian High Andes

A spirited South American blend of the best coffees, balancing sweetness with rich nuttiness. Medium Dark Roast.

Kenyan High Mountains

Kenyan, the best coffee in the world, forms the base for this lively blend of 70% Kenyan, 15% Mocha Limu and 15% Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. Medium Roast.

Java Volcanic Islands

Coffee grown in volcanic soils develops a silky chocolate richness with low acidity. 70% Java Jampit and 30% Sumatra Lintong. Dark Roast.

Fair Trade Organic

A coffee with a rich, nutty flavour and tantalising aroma, grown on a farmer’s co-operative in Nicaragua. The extra social premiums Taylor's pay are used for community projects which help to improve the lives of the farmers and their families.

Rich Italian

A blend of excellent Arabic's from East Africa and Central America. This is a dark roasted, rich and full-bodied coffee. Exceptionally smooth and with no trace of the bitterness often associated with dark roasted coffee
