GENGIGEL

For High-Quality daily care of your mouth and gums. Gengigel is a natural mouth and gum care gel, based on Hyaluronan providing active protection from gum disease and support for the natural healing of inflamed and damaged tissue in the mouth.

After tooth decay, the second most frequent disorder within the mouth is inflammation of the gingiva (gums) and the periodontium (the tissue that surrounds and supports the teeth). Gum disease is often not diagnosed early enough because, in contrast to tooth decay, tooth ache and pain do not occur so early. Experts estimate that 95% of adults in the UK suffer from some form of Gum disease, but only 10% have serious problems.

What causes Gum diseases?

Gum Disease (periodontal disease) is an infection of the gums and bone caused by plaque, a sticky film of bacteria that adheres to teeth. Plaque forms constantly on teeth and can build up if it is not removed through daily cleaning. The bacteria in plaque produce toxins, or poisons, that can irritate your gums. In the early stages of gum disease, called gingivitis, gums may swell, turn red and bleed easily. Eventually, inflammation can cause the tissues to separate from the teeth to form deepened spaces called periodontal pockets. If left untreated, the disease can progress to the bone. In later stages of the disease, called periodontitis, the bone and soft tissue that support the teeth can be destroyed. This can cause the teeth to become loose, develop abscesses, fall out, or they may have to be removed by a dentist.

a) The Diagnosis

The first warning signs, which you should look out for, are:

  • reddish-blue patches at the gum margins
  • red, swollen gums
  • bleeding gums
  • unpleasant tastes and odours in the mouth
  • sensitivity of some of the teeth to cold and hot

b) The Solution

What you can do to avoid these problems:

  • thorough daily cleaning and brushing in between teeth in addition to your normal brushing
  • removal of plaque and dental calculus by your dentist or hygienist, at regular intervals
  • regular and specific application of Gengigel to be irritated gums that are susceptible to inflammation and injury

Gengigel is designed to help you counteract and prevent gum disorders at an early stage.

The new product in Oral Hygiene

Gengigel contains hyaluronan - a natural substance found in the connective tissues of the body. When applied to diseased gum tissue it controls inflammation and stimulates the production of new healthy tissue.
Several clinical studies have shown that Gengigel can accelerate the rate of tissue healing and reduce inflammation. Regular use of Gengigel either as a gel or mouth rinse combined with regular and thorough cleaning of the teeth will ensure the maintenance of healthy gums especially in smokers, diabetics, pregnant women and women taking oral contraceptives who have an above average incidence of gum tissue problems. Gengigel has no side effects or contraindications so it is safe to use in pregnancy, with diabetes and is suitable for young children.

Gengigel

  • When used in accordance with instructions, it provides protection against inflammation of the gums (Gingivitis), inflammation of the mucous membrane of the cavity (stomatitis), and inflammation of the tissues that support the teeth (periodontitis)
  • Improves the results of periodontic treatment
  • Cares for the gums and enhances the natural healing of sensitive gums and oral mucous membranes that are susceptible to inflammation and injury, for instance after tooth extractions or mouth ulcers
