Kawakawa (Macropiper excelsum) is the New Zealand Pepper Tree. It has a distinctive taste which combines well with the traditional pungency of Ginger and the refreshing taste of Peppermint. Quite distinct from the Pacific Kava, Kawakawa leaves were once used by many European settlers as a pleasant substitute for tea. A pleasant tasting and refreshing formula, sweetened with organic apple juice.
Ingredients: Excipients: certified organic: apple juice concentrate, peppermint, liquorice, natural herbal flavouring, alcohol
Nutritional: Each 1 ml contains extracts equivalent to dried ginger root, organic 40mg, kawakawa (macropiper excelsum) leaf 90mg.
Directions: Take 2 to 4 mls (1 to 2 capfuls) as required up to 4 times daily. Mix with a little, hot or cold water, or take undiluted. Children 6 - 12 years take half the adult dose.
Health Warnings: Not recommended during pregnancy as ginger in the latter stages of pregnancy can be counterproductive. During pregnancy or when taking anti-coagulant medication seek professional advice. Use only as directed. Discontinue use immediately if you notice any adverse reactions. Keep out of children's reach.
