In a healthy body, 'methylation' happens over a billion times a second. This is important for converting the dangerous amino acid, homocysteine, into the body's most important anti-ageing and detoxifying antioxidant; glutathione. Keeping homocysteine at a healthy low level is also important for keeping our risk of heart disease, stroke and Alzheimer's a low as possible. In addition, methyl groups are added and subtracted to our DNA. When not enough methylation is going on, our DNA cannot properly repair itself, which puts us at higher risk from degenerative diseases. Methylation also helps the body convert homocysteine into an important biochemical called SAMe, which helps maintain good mood and flexible joints. Contains no added sugar, salt, soya, wheat, gluten, maize, corn, yeast, lactose, dairy products, artificial preservatives, colourings or flavourings. Hypo-allergic formula. Non GM.
