StatiQinon is the latest innovation from Pharma Nord UK and features a unique formulation of Red Yeast Rice, ALA (Alpha Linolenic Acid), and coenzyme Q10 to reduce cholesterol naturally. It is the perfect supplement to recommend to customers who are concerned about cholesterol, but who have not started taking statin drugs yet or who are worried about potential side effects from medication. StatiQinon is completely natural and is made to pharmaceutical standards. StatiQinon is a natural supplement that is useful for anyone who wants to keep their cholesterol levels in the normal range and maintain good cardiovascular health.

How does StatiQinon work?
Co-enzyme Q10: is stored in the mitochondria (power house) of every cell and is responsible for the production of energy. Tissues with a high-energy requirement such as the heart, muscles and liver contain more mitochondria within their cells. Coenzyme Q10 is also an important antioxidant and protects cell membranes from the damaging effects of free radicals.
Red yeast rice: contains 14 active compounds called monacolins, which have been shown to inhibit the synthesis of cholesterol.
ALA: May help reduce the build of fats in the arteries thus reducing cholesterol and triglycerides.

What do you take StatiQinon for?
Cholesterol isn't all bad, our bodies need cholesterol for normal functioning and as long as the amount we have stays within normal levels, it poses no health issues. However, lifestyle and genetics can lead to an increase in bad cholesterol (LDL), which if left unchecked can lead to heart disease. Research suggests that each of the ingredients in StatiQinon may protect against the build up of bad cholesterol (LDL) in the body.

What is Cholesterol?
Cholesterol is a waxy steroid metabolite with several vital functions such as helping the body to:

  • Establish proper cell membrane permeability and fluidity
  • Produce bile acids and steroid hormones
  • Make fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, E and K

Where does cholesterol come from?
80% of the cholesterol in the body get produced within, mostly by the liver. From there it is carried by way of the bloodstream to other tissues. WE also get cholesterol from certain foods. The major contributors of cholesterol are from certain foods. The major contributors of cholesterol are cheese, beef, pork, poultry, shrimp, and egg yolks.

StatiQinon

…It is Vital
Cholesterol is a constituent of all cell membranes and has numerous functions that are of vital importance to your health.

…but it can be lethal
Cholesterol is also a substance that can accumulate in your bloodstream and cause atherosclerosis, that artery clogging that may lead to blood clot and heart disease.

If you make sure to eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly, you can maintain healthy cholesterol levels and avoid the problems that follow in the wake of elevated cholesterol levels. You can find more information in this pamphlet.

Cholesterol is an inherent part of all cell membranes and therefore vital to your health. In the bloodstream, cholesterol is transported by different carrier molecules so-called lipoproteins including LDL (Low-density Lipoprotein) and HDL (High-density Lipoprotein). Elevated LDL level are what tend to cause problems in the form of atherosclerosis (clogging of the blood vessels) and, subsequently, blood clots in e.g. the heart, brain and legs.

What is LDL and HDL?
Cholesterol travels through the blood in small packages incorporated in large molecules known as lipoproteins and are combinations of protein and fat. Roughly speaking, there are two main groups of lipoproteins:

  • HDL (high-density lipoprotein)
  • LDL (low-density lipoprotein)
Each group has specific functions in the body.

HDL – also know as ‘Good Cholesterol’ – gathers excess cholesterol in the bloodstream and brings it back to the liver where it is re-processed. Raised HDL levels are associated with cardiovascular protection.

LDL – or ‘Bad Cholesterol’ – conveys cholesterol from the liver and deposits in different places, including the lining of the arteries. This causes the formulation of cholesterol plaque and, over time, thickening of the artery walls and narrowing of the arteries, during a process called atherosclerosis.

Ingredients: Flax Seed Oil 225mg, Coenzyme Q10 30 mg, Red Yeast Powder 50mg.

StatiQinon® is a new formulation product containing coenzyme Q10, Red Yeast Rice and ALA (Alpha-linolenic acid). Coenzyme Q10 is a vitamin-like compound which practically all cells in the human body depend on in order to produce energy. Coenzyme Q10 is an important antioxidant and protects cell membranes from the damaging effects of free radicals. Red yeast rice, a dietary staple in some Asian countries, is yeast cultivated on rice. It contains 14 active compounds called monacolins, which have been shown to inhibit the synthesis of cholesterol. ALA stands for alpha-linolenic acid and is a type of omega-3 fatty acid that is found in plants. ALA may help reduce the build-up of fats in the arteries thus reducing cholesterol and triglycerides.

Nutritional:

What is important is the ratio – or balance – between HDL and LDL. The more LDL and the less HDL you have, the worse off you are. On the other hand, a situation with relatively high HDL and low LDL is considered healthy. Factors that contribute to healthy HDL levels include exercise, a modest alcohol intake, and certain foods such as fish, because of their omega-3 content.

What happens when you lower your cholesterol levels?
If you suspect that your LDL levels are too high, or if you have specifically been diagnosed with the problem, measures should be taken toward reducing LDL in order to:

  • Reduce or stop the formulation of new cholesterol plaques on the artery wall
  • Reduce existing cholesterol plaques on the artery walls and widen the arteries
  • Prevent the rupture of cholesterol plaques that may otherwise become detached and wedge themselves in narrow passages in the blood vessels, including the brain and heart.
  • Reduce the risk of heart attack and strokes

There are different ways by which you can lower the amount of LDL in your blood, for instance:

  • Weight loss
  • Regular exercise
  • Low-fat, low-cholesterol diet
  • Medicine
