A high quality French maritime pine bark extract sourced from pine trees found in sustainable forests in the south-west of France. These pine trees are naturally cultivated for between 30-50years without the use of either pesticides or herbicides. The science of the Oligopin extract was originally developed with and supervised by professor Jack Masquelier and it meets and exceeds his high standards for antioxidants proanthocyanadin content. The research scientists have since further refined the extraction process making it even more natural whilst still maintaining the highest yields possible of useful antioxidants proanthocyanadins. They have successfully removed all tannins from the extract, as these can compete with and reduce the absorption of OPC's. The Oligopin extraction process does not use any chlorinated solvents, salt or any other harmful material.

Some scientific comparisons show that Oligopin is twice as effective as a popular brand of pine bark, protecting human LDL from oxidation, it also has a greater affinity for LDL and therefore has a better antioxidant protective effect or a longer antioxidant protective effect.
