Squalene is a highly purified polyunsaturated hydrocarbon containing alkoxyglycerols. It is normally extracted from the Shark liver oil. It acts as an energy source for sharks, allowing them to exist in oxygen deprived environment. In humans the Squalene makes up 12% of sebum. Squalene and its main component alkoxyglycerols help to strengthen the immune system. Biocare introduces vegetable source Squalene which has been micellised by our unique Microcell process to enhance absorption. A Viable alternative to Squalene derived from shark liver oil.
