The Powered root of the Marshmallow Plant has a high mucilage content which may soothe and care for the mucosal membranes in the respiratory and digestive tracts. The Marshmallow is a traditional English country plant, found growing naturally in damp marshy places. It has been used in medicine for thousands of years and also has a long history as a food.
