Comvita Manuka Honey is tested to ensure that it contains beneficial levels of total activity between 4% and 9%. Dr Peter Molan, a scientist from New Zealand has spent many years researching the special powers of honey. He discovered that some honey produced from the Manuka plant (Manuka is the Maori name for Tea Tree) displayed an extra ingredient that was far more powerful than other honeys and was not destroyed by heat.
