Concentrated standardised extract of Valeriana officinalis L. Valerian is a tall, sturdy, riverside herb producing pink flowers in June. Its roots are harvested in September to provide the Valerian extract.
Ingredients: Dried extract of Valeriana officinalis L., glucose, lactose, cellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, thickener hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, vegetable oil, polyethylene glycol, sucrose, talc, gelatin, colour titanium dioxide, polyvinylpyrrolidone, glazing agent carnauba wax.
Nutritional: Each tablet contains 300mg dried, concentrated, standardised LI 156 extract of Valerian (Valeriana officinalis radix) equivalent to up to 1800mg of the fresh root.
Directions: Do not chew, but swallow whole, 1-2 tablets with a little cold liquid in the evening before going to bed. Take regularly each night for at least 4 weeks for the full benefits to be enjoyed. Valerian gradually changes the structure of sleep over a two to three week period so single doses are not effective.
Health Warnings: Do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Keep away from children. Alcohol should be avoided whilst taking valerian as it could increase the sedative effect of the herb. People currently taking sedative drugs or antidepressants should take valerian with caution as any sedative action could be addictive.
