Tincture of Black Cohosh. Also known as cimicifuga racemosa, Squaw root or black snakeroot and is native to Canada and East parts of the USA. Black Cohosh - A fresh herbal extract of the root of Black Cohosh (cimicifuga racemosa). It is a member of the buttercup family and was originally used by the Native American Indians for its effects on the female reproductive system. Black cohosh contains several important constituents - triterpene glycosides (actein cimcifugoside) isoflavones (formononetin) and salicylic acid. Nutritional: 100g of fresh plant tincture (extracted in alcohol 65% by volume) typically contains the tincture of Black cohosh (Cimicifuga racemosa) 100g.
Directions: Generally: 15 to drops in water twice daily. Maintenance: 20 drops in water once daily. If black cohosh is needed long term it is recommended that a one month break from treatment is taken after 6 months.
