In one study of people with digestive problems, an amazing 85% noted an improvement after taking artichoke extract. This herb seems particularly helpful where people have digestive disturbances, such as nausea, flatulence, abdominal pain and bloating.

It has recently been shown by a trial in the UK that this herb may actually work quicker than was previously thought. Use of artichoke extract reduced symptoms of disordered digestion during a mere 6-week treatment course. It is the leaves of the artichoke plant that contain the active compounds, the most important one being cynarin. Lamberts® Ibisene® is a high potency artichoke extract standardised upon 5% cynarin, to give a relevant level of 16mg of cynarin per tablet.

Ingredients: Artichoke Extract (as 320mg of a 25:1 extract)), Cynarin, DiCalcium Phosphate, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Tablet Coating (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Colours: Titanium Dioxide, Curcumin, Copper Chlorophyllin & Iron Oxide, Glycerin), Silicon Dioxide, Magnesium Stearate, Crosslinked Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose.

Directions: Initial Intake: 2 tablets with a meal (max 6 tablets each day). Continue for a minimum of 8 weeks. Maintenance Intake: 1 to 2 tablets a day with a meal.
