Boswellia

Boswellia is a moderate to large branching tree found in the dry hilly areas of India. When the tree trunk is tapped, a gummy oleoresin is exuded. A purified extract of this resin is used in modern herbal preparations. The gum oleoresin consists of essential oils, gum, and terpenoids. The terpenoid portion contains the boswellic acids that have been shown to be the active constituents in boswellia. This Bosweilla extract has been standardised to contain 65% boswellic acids (the active constituents) and can be beneficial for joint health and flexibility

What are Boswellia capsules for?
Boswellia, or Boswellia serrata is a natural and safe herb for optimum joint health. The active constituent, Boswellic Acid, is a pyrazoline derivative shown to be very effective in supporting healthy joints. Boswellia is believed to also have many cholesterol and triglyceride lowering properties. One of the principal constituents in the gum resin is boswellic acid which exhibits anti-inflammatory activity. Today, extracts are typically standardised to contain 37.5–65% boswellic acids. HealthAid high potency boswellia contains 400mg of standardised boswellia extract and 120mg boswellia resin powder per serving. This Bosweilla extract has been standardised to contain 65% boswellic acids, to ensure optimum benefit for joint health and flexibility.
