What are Livotropic™ tablets for?
Lipotropics help increase production of lecithin in the liver, helping to keep cholesterol more soluble and lessening deposits in the blood vessels. They help towards the prevention of fats accumulating in the liver and they help to detoxify amines, which are by-products of protein metabolism. Additionally, the Lipotropic Formula helps to increase levels of energy and stamina during exercise while providing resistance to fatigue.
The three lipotropics are methionine, choline, and inositol; Methionine- helps reduces fat and aids in lowering cholesterol. It can be substituted for choline, which aids in reducing liver fat (lipotropic agent). One possible explanation for the added advantage of Methionine is its ability to form various enzyme systems, which aids in the repair and healthy function of the cell.
Choline - helps fat emulsify cholesterol so that it does not settle on arterial walls. It works well with inositol to utilise fats and cholesterol. It also helps increase lecithin products by the liver and in turn lecithin helps to keep cholesterol more soluble, deterring plaque or cholesterol deposits in the blood vessels.
