Valerian, or Valeriana Officinalis, is a perennial flowering plant with sweetly scented pink or white flowers. It is native to Europe, parts of Asia and North America. Garden Valerian is also sometimes referred to as Valerian, however this is a different species and not closely related.

Valerian Root has been thought to possess a sedative and anxiolytic effect, and has been used as a medicinal herb since the time of the ancient Greeks and Rome.

Valerian is known to be used for helping people with insomnia, and other problems that prescribed drugs would commonly be used for. It has also be used to help as a sedative for nervous tension, hysteria, excitability, stress and cramps.

Ingredients: Bulking agents (dicalcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose), valerian extract, anti-caking agents (magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide), glazing agents (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, glycerine, carnauba wax)

Nutritional: Each tablet typically provides: Valerian 500mg

Directions: Swallow one to two tablets daily with food. Do Not exceed the stated recommended amount.
