Eyebright

Eyebright Complex, from Power Health, is used to aid in slowing down the development of age-related eye diseases, due to the contents of carotenoid plant pigments of Lutein and Zeaxanthin. These are the only carotenoids in the eye, unlike most other body tissues, that contain a large variety of them, such as beta carotene.

Eyebright Complex Tablets have been reformulated to include additional Lutein and a new ingredient - Zeaxanthin. Both of these ingredients are recommended by eye specialists to help prevent and slow the progression of age related eye diseases - particularly macular degeneration. The amounts of each of these 2 ingredients in each tablet reflect the levels used in scientific studies which have demonstrated the benefits of supplementation. The tablets also contain Eyebright, Bilberry, Carrot, Zinc and Vitamins C & E - to help maintain optimum eye health

Lutein & zeaxanthin, form an oily, yellow substance at a central point of the retina known as the macula. This yellow oil, called macular pigment, is thought to protect the macula from age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a disease that studies in the UK have shown to affect up to 12% of men and 29% of women over the age of 75. The macula is a small area of the retina responsible for seeing detail and colour in our central field of vision.

Other traditional ‘healthy eye’ ingredients - Bilberry, Carrot, Vitamins C and E & Zinc are also supplied in this formulation to provide a good all round daily eye health supplement.

Bulking Agent: Microcrystalline Cellulose; Carrot Powder, Marigold Flower Powder, Ascorbic Acid, Eyebright Extract 4:1, Zinc Gluconate, Vitamin E Prep (DL-Alpha Tocopherol, Silicon Dioxide), Bilberry Extract 100:1 (25% Anthocyanins), Modified Maize Starch, Anti-caking Agent: Magnesium Stearate.

Each tablet provides on average Vitamin E 5mg (41%*), Vitamin C 60mg (75%*), Elemental Zinc 2mg (20%*), Carrot Powder 100mg, Eyebright Extract 4:1 50mg, equivalent to 200mg Eyebright, Bilberry Extract 100:1 4.5mg, equivalent to 450mg of fresh Bilberries providing 1.125mg Anthocyanins, Lutein 8mg, Zeaxanthin 2mg. *EC Recommended Daily Allowance
