It provides a standardised liquid extract encapsulated in a nitrogen flushed, vegetable capsule for improved stability. A wildflower native to North America. Records show that is was first used by the American Indians for a variety of conditions. It was later introduced into the US medical practice in 1887 where it was widely recommended. Echinacea contains a range of pharmacologically active compounds including polysaccharides, flavonoids and essential oils.
