EC Matrixx supports the extracellular matrix EC Matrixx is an innovative new formula, which has been designed specifically to support healthy connective tissues by supporting the extra cellular matrix, a key structural component of connective tissues such as tendons, ligaments, and cartilage.

After injury the body releases enzymes (MMP) enzymes in connective tissue injury that break down connective tissue. Matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) enzymes are proteolytic enzymes that are designed specifically to break down connective tissues. They are released by a number of different cells, including chondrocytes, and work to break down collagen tissues as part of tissue remodelling. During times of inflammation, injury, or imbalances cellular signalling, over-production of MMP enzymes can lead to the destruction of healthy tissues, which may result in delayed healing of acute injury, as well as more chronic tissue degradation.

EC Matrixx features a synergy of effective nutrient support to specifically support balanced expression of these enzymes and promote healthy connective tissues:

  • Phytochemicals from hops & barbering - may help to support balanced expression of the enzymes involved in connective tissue structure
