1000mg fish oil supplement in a triglyceride form. Fish oils contain approximately 50 different fatty acids and are the main source of omega 3 essential PUFAs eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). The habitat in which the fish grow has a major influence on their fatty acid levels. Fish get omega 3 PUFAs from eating plankton, which in turn contain more omega 3 PUFAs the colder the sea water. Therefore, cold water fish such as salmon, tuna and mackerel have the highest levels of omega 3 PUFAs. Farmed fish contain lower levels. Bio-Fish Oil is screened for toxins and PCBs and the fish used is caught in the cleaner waters of the South Pacific and Northern Atlantic. The oil in Bio-Fish Oil comes from the flesh of the fish, not the liver, which contains high levels of Vitamin A and D, both of which can be toxic in high doses. Bio-Fish Oil is screened for toxins, PCBs, lead, mercury and other pollutants, which the fish may have come into contact with in the sea to ensure purity. Directions: The recommended intake is 1-2 capsules, 1-2 times daily.
Health Warnings: This product is usually well-tolerated, although gastro-intestinal disturbance may occasionally occur. Caution should be taken by those with diabetes.
