100mcg Chromium. A trace mineral essential for growth and normal metabolism. Key factor in the processing of sugars and fats within the body. Chromium is a component of the Glucose Tolerance Factor (GTF) complex, which together with insulin, regulates carbohydrate metabolism and glucose metabolism within the body.It makes the action of insulin more effective, thus ensuring that blood sugar levels do not rise too much after a meal. As a consequence, the tendency to get low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia) after a meal is reduced. Reliance on convenience foods, which contain relatively little of this mineral means that deficiency is common. Levels are further lost during the cooking process.

Chromium supplements are available in both organic and inorganic forms. Although inorganic forms tend to be cheaper, the body absorbs the organic form of chromium much more efficiently. Bio-Chromium contains 100µg of organic chromium which is 25 times more bioavailable (absorbable) than inorganic chromium. The capsules are produced under pharmaceutical control. The raw materials comply with government regulations in the EC and Scandinavia. Testing ensures that the raw materials are in accordance with their certificates of analysis. Chromium deficiency results in the inefficient use of glucose within the body, resulting in spontaneous hunger even after meals; precipitates diabetes in susceptible individuals; and in high triglyceride and cholesterol levels. Chromium regulates blood sugar levels, Chromium plays an important role in the natural weight-regulating mechanism of the body, promoting muscle growth and inhibiting the development of obesity. Chromium also promotes normal immune function.

Directions: 1 tablet per day, or as directed by a physician. To be taken with food.
