This product is a new addition to Biocare's range of probiotics and contains 24 billion viable cells of the LAB4 organisms in a base of fructooligosaccharides. It makes a higher strength alternative to the regular Bio Acidophilus. Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidum are beneficial intestinal bacteria that naturally exist together in the gastrointestinal tract. These organisms have been shown to colonise the human intestinal tract and help maintain the health of the digestive system. It contains two strains of L.acidophilud and two strains of the B.bifidum which are acid stable and available only from Biocare.
